The Chinese have responded to accusations of cyber hacking  by claiming that the Australiaan Strategic Policy Institute is a Sinophobic propaganda arm which is funded. by the American Defence Industry.  Now this may be merely a diversionary tactic of other reputable and truly independent groups make the same allegations and offer reasonable proof, which  incidentally has not yet been stated.

 

Of perhaps greater importance is whether ASPI is in fact funded in the way alleged, which would mean that we have evidence of a foreign power's interference in Australia's political decisions, without due disclosure.

It seems remarkable that not onlyhave its spokespersons not denied it, but that the media has refrained from asking them the obvious question - is it true?

We arebeset alreeady with misinformative propaganda by homegrown parties with an agenda without a contribution by foreign influences who do not disclose their interests, which is not necessarily in conformity with our own.
