MrPompeo seems to be following the techniques of all the worst US Secretaries of State, in running aroundd telliing the world what it must do, which just happens to accord with the benefit of the US.

Fortunately, as a Trunp appointee he will not be taken seriously on any issue of conscience or credibility.

Being a Trump appointee is bad enough.  Remaining a Trump appointee puts the issue beyond doubt.

Ironically, he accuses China of misrepresentation as to coronavirus numbers, but does not revealany evidence.  We are supposed to accept it on the say-so of someone who has remaine associated with Trump, and therefore must be intimately associated with misrepresentation himself.

America is afraid of losing world dominance in trade and influence to China,and itand its satellites pour out a stream of sino-phobicpropaganda. Some of it may be true, but in the circumstances, we would be naiveto accept it without ever the production of evidence.
